Where IRIS came from
Intelligent Mind was founded by two practising emergency physicians who experienced firsthand the consequences of poor rostering: unsafe coverage, burnt-out clinicians, and workforce leaders spending hours on spreadsheets instead of focusing on care.
Existing systems didn’t understand healthcare. They treated rostering as a scheduling problem. We knew it was a clinical operations problem — and we built accordingly.
The result is IRIS — a platform designed from the ground up for healthcare, by people who work in it every day.

Rajan brings frontline experience across high-acuity emergency settings and a sustained interest in how technology can reduce the operational burden on clinical teams. His work spanning both physical and virtual emergency departments gave him a direct view of the workforce management gaps that IRIS was built to address. He leads the design, development, and ongoing evolution of the platform.

Srigala brings a dual perspective — as a clinician working across two major Victorian health networks, and as a medical educator shaping the next generation of emergency physicians.
